While most opportunities for seasoned development and finance professionals are field-based, SBI can offer some unique opportunities to young professionals in our home office in Washington, DC and occasionally through our hub offices in South Asia, Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

The entry-level position at SBI is Business Analyst, which is a role that focuses on business development and project backstopping, and as such can offer broad exposure to the solutions and services SBI offers while working directly with some of our senior thought leaders and practitioners in DC and in the field.   

After building knowledge of SBI’s business and approaches to financial inclusion for a couple of years, it is our hope that Business Analysts will move into the Associate Consultant role, a position that is specifically designed to build field experience and technical competency towards a long-term career in consulting with SBI.  

Associate Consultants can pursue one of two professional development tracks: that of a largely field-based consultant, delivering advisory services to clients, or a more office-based role focusing on project management and business development.
